Nickel-based Alloy Tubing and Casing

Nickel-based alloy tubing and casing are designed for exploitation and development of sour oil and gas wells with high contents of H2S-CO2-Cl. During production, there are many challenges to overcome. First, the requirements of ultra-low carbon, ultrahigh purity, ultra-low oxygen, and no precipitated phase increase the difficulty of smelting. Second, alloy under high temperature has low plasticity and high deformation resistance, is vulnerable to cracking when subject to forging and hot extrusion, and is likely to produce harmful precipitated phase. Third, high strength is dependent on cold rolling and reinforcement, and the work-hardening capacity is extremely big. The requirements on cold-rolling moulds, pickling and surface quality are high. Fourth, cutting is difficult, and the machining efficiency is very low.

Baosteel's nickel-based alloy tubings and casings have been applied to PetroChina Southwest Oilfield and Sinopec Southwest oilfield. Baosteel's nickel-based alloy tubing products have been applied to PetroChina Southwest Oilfield and Sinopec Southwest oilfield.
